Much like the Saami dwelling, this shape has been lumped into the ‘teepee’ category. Tipi simply means dwelling in Dakota. This one would be čaŋ ha típi. My people, the Bdewákaŋtuŋwaŋ lived in a large longhouse at times, squarish and covered in bark.
